Boy-racer funeral,
His friends stand with their heads bowed in
respect for the fallen hero,
That is the friends that weren’t in the car at the time,
In the fireball,
What a terrible accident,
But is overtaking on the brow of a hill whilst
racing a stranger an accident?
Or an act of gross stupidity?
Eye witness reports claimed his car was doing
over a hundred,
It was a miracle that no one in the oncoming car was killed,
The other boy-racer saw what happened and kept going,
Five boys were killed,
Aged between 17 and 20,
His mother and father weep uncontrollably,
But they can’t forget what the police said,
And they can’t forget about the other boys who died with him,
Because of him,
They can’t forget that it’s a boy-racer funeral.
